# ADR 0010: Remove the Postgres backend

Accepted decision (2026-08-27, supersedes [ADR 0006](/adr/0006-postgres-backend-is-an-optional-build.md)) that the demarkus server is file-store only: the Postgres backend, migration tool, image, and chart are deleted; shared multi-writer state belongs to the knowledge server. Authoritative copy in the knowledge system at the promoted target; canonical source in git at docs/adr/0010-remove-postgres-backend.md.
